Laura Breu
Climber
Laura has had a curiosity for discovery since birth. This love for adventure has manifested itself in exploring many different nations and people groups throughout the world. When she’s not across the sea, she’s on a trail running, exploring the mountains & forests that surround the beautiful Tahoe area. Laura first traveled to Africa in 1999 as a study abroad student while receiving a Bachelor of Art in International Service from Valparaiso University. She then received Master of International Public Affairs from the University of Wisconsin Madison; she joined the Peace Corps and served for two years in Botswana, Africa working with HIV/AIDS. She then went back to school for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and discovered the joy of a helping people heal well, while helping others face death with hope. She currently works as an Oncology nurse and is in a graduate program at the University of Nevada Reno, completing a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in May of 2016.
Laura longs to uncover the beauty in every human heart and to see souls reconciled. She has a passion to see people healed: physically, emotionally and spiritually. She recognizes that she was born privileged just by being an educated American. This privilege must be shared in practical love; otherwise her life profits nothing.
