Chessy is a graduate student at Georgetown University, where she is currently completing her degree in PR & Communications with a focus on cause marketing and audience engagement. Prior to her time in DC, Chessy double majored in Foreign Policy and Anthropology at Colby College, and worked briefly in cause communications for clients including The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Doctors Without Borders, The United Nations Foundation, and UNICEF.
Since before she could walk, Chessy has been traveling to Kenya - a place she considers her second home - and has been actively engaged in advocacy and fundraising for girls empowerment and gender equality. Chessy is passionate about raising awareness amongst her peers to catalyze powerful change. She loves to write, and hopes that through her storytelling and social media presence, she can motivate others to action.
Chessy currently lives in Washington D.C., but is excited to be making the move back to Boston in 2016, where she'll join her parents, sisters and fiance, Joe. When she's not working, Chessy is an avid spinner, foodie and world traveler!
