Joy Beth Smith is an editorial coordinator with Today's Christian Woman at Christianity Today. She lives in a provincial suburb west of Chicago and spends many of her days holding her brand new niece and reading young adult novels. In between books and babies, she enjoys traveling all over the country visiting friends and finding the perfect grilled cheese.

As a result of the Lord moving in her life over the course of many years, Joy Beth has developed a heart for foster care and adoption, education and equality for women and making much of the talents she has been given. While her five year plan is still under construction, Joy Beth knows without a doubt that God has called her to comfort those who are afflicted. At the end of the day, she hopes to do good, love mercy and walk humbly with God.
